Oak Knoll District
Napa's cool southern floor — crisp Chardonnay and supple, elegant reds.
Est. 2004
History
The Oak Knoll District became an AVA in 2004, recognizing the cool southern reach of the Napa Valley floor at the base of Mount Veeder. The district's maritime climate — cool, fog-influenced, and slow to ripen — makes it one of Napa's premier areas for white varieties and elegant reds. Planted since the 19th century, Oak Knoll is celebrated for crisp Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc alongside structured but supple Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon [1].
